Dear Fighting Children's Cancer Foundation Family,
    
It is hard to believe that it is almost Thanksgiving! We hope that you and your loved ones managed okay in the snow last week and that you are all safe, warm, and doing well.   Just a quick note of gratitude and a few updates as Thanksgiving approaches...
   
The Fighting Children's Cancer Foundation is beyond thankful for the heart-felt generosity of all of you who support FCCF children and families.
     
You are a family of volunteers, donors, sponsors, and contributors who together have reached thousands of moms, dads, kids, and families who battle pediatric cancer. You have paid their mortgages, utility bills, groceries, and other expenses that cause hardship so parents can focus on the healing and recovery of their children. None of these families would be helped without your support. 

Here is more of what you have done:
•    You have helped more families in 2018 than ever before in Foundation history.
•    With your support, we hope to surpass $200,000 in direct assistance to families by the end of December! We are not there yet, but with everyone's support during our Holiday Giving Drive, this is achievable and will be the highest amount ever given in a calendar year.
•    You have given more than $1.6 million in direct giving to children and families since the Foundation started. 

Our 2018 Holiday Giving Drive is going on now.  We have received over 50 requests so far, and more are reaching out in need every day. We are learning of families whose children were just diagnosed, children who have been on treatment for years with uncertainty of being cured. We have seen children who continue to fight but with prolonged hospitalizations, including a little boy who recently had his leg amputated to rid him of his cancer once and for all, and other stories of both hardship and incredible courage.

Today, though, we really just want to say thank you. For those of you who attended our events during the year, or if you fed a pig from the Pigs in Action Program, or if you participated in a community awareness activity, or if you referred a family to us so they could get the support they needed, we are grateful for all of you. Your kindness, compassion, and support have meant the world to the Foundation and to these amazing kids and families.
