Hope’s Promise Horseback Riding Event for FCCF Families
Special thanks to Maureen Coultas and the Hope's Promise Therapeutic Riding Program in Chester, NJ for hosting Fighting Children’s Cancer Foundation children and families in June! The event has given children and families the chance to experience horses, equine care, and to enjoy special time away from the rigors of illness and treatment. Thank you to all of the volunteers, to Chelsea Hinkle for chairing this event, and to all of you who have made this FCCF family opportunity possible! We received the following note from a mom of one of these amazing cancer warriors:
I am always thankful for these events and for the organizations that make it happen. Having a sick child changes things in so many ways. When life becomes a sea of doctor appointments and hospital stays these events bring back normalcy to a very chaotic existence. It's a time to meet others facing the same challenges, a time to meet all the wonderful people who are a part of these organizations and dedicated to helping our families, and a time to stop thinking about the next appointment and simply laugh smile and have fun. Thank you for giving that to us. It's always so needed.
